Still time to catch exhibition at museum

The British Postal Museum & Archive (BPMA) touring exhibition Pop it in the Post: Your World at the end of the Street will be hosted by Mansfield Museum until November 21.

This family-friendly exhibition explores the new and sometimes quirky ideas that made the mail accessible.

Children and adults alike can discover the story of the letter writing revolution, enabled by the introduction of the world’s first stamp, the Penny Black, in 1840, and the UK’s first pillar boxes in 1852.

Visitors will discover how millions of people’s lives were changed as a result of their innovative problem solving.
