Spooky fun at Cromford Mills

Cromford Mills will be holding a variety of spooky events for Hallowe’en on Friday, October 31.

Follow the Spooky Trail (10am-4pm) around Cromford Mills...if you dare! Find the hiding places of witches, ghosts and other scary creatures, and you could win a small prize. Tickets cost £1.

From 6pm-7pm, enjoy Shivery Stories and Frightening Fun with Hallowe’en tales for children aged four-plus and their families. Listen to tales of the belly button monster and find out about the strange new creature in the jungle. These not so frightening stories for little ones are told by award-winning storyteller Christine McMahon. Tickets cost just £7.50 for adults and £5 for children.

Storytelling continues into the evening with a Spooky Soup Supper in Arkwright’s Cafe with a bowl of pumpkin soup (£7.50) before Christine McMahon weaves her words to tell a dark tale for a dark time of year. Goosewing (£12) begins at 8.15pm and is told with Christine’s characteristic wit and warmth.

Advanced booking is recommended as places are limited for the storytelling events. Contact 01629 825995, or email [email protected]

Catherine Roth, events and membership manager at Cromford Mills, said: “We have something for everyone this Hallowe’en and are delighted to welcome Christine McMahon back to Cromford Mills for another evening of storytelling. Why not also come dressed as your favourite Hallowe’en character?”

Please note that the Spooky Soup Supper must be booked in advance.
