Serinette single is released

Serinette are the latest band to record and release a single with the Belper-based Sound-Hub Records.

The band were formed with a new line-up around one year ago and are from the Middlesbrough area.

They submitted their music to Sound-Hub, the UK’s fastest growing independent record label, after being impressed with the bands the label has been releasing.

Routine Of The Week was released on Saturday and there was a sellout show at the ARC Theatre in Stockton-on-Tees to mark the occasion. The band will also play the Oxjam event in Sheffield on August 22.

James Pecz from Sound-Hub explained: “They came to Sound Hub in February to showcase their music and we offered them a single release on the spot as we were so impressed with the band. In March, Serinette spent five days in our Belper studio recording three tracks from which we would pick a single to release worldwide. We and the band both agreed that Routine of the Week was the standout track.”

The track has already gained airplay across the country and was played last week on the Huw Stephens show on Radio 1.

Sound Hub are hoping to release another single with the band later this year before discussing the possibility of an album in 2016.
