Russell Watson to be supported by Tideswell Male Voice Choir at concerts in Chesterfield and Buxton

Tideswell Male Voice Choir have secured two support slots on classical singing star Russell Watson’s tour this year.

The choir will be opening for the acclaimed tenor at Buxton Opera House on March 28 and at the Winding Wheel, Chesterfield, on May 15.

Dennis Kay, the choir’s. musical director and principal conductor, said: “This is a great privilege and opportunity for the choir, the guys have worked hard over the past months to excel and look forward to proving their calibre as they support Russell Watson on his tour.”

Russell has sold over seven million albums worldwide with nine studio albums.

He is regarded as the godfather of classical crossover and this year’s Up Close and Personal tour will give his fans the opportunity to hear ‘The Voice’ as he’s never been heard before.
