British soul group The Real Thing will perform their chart hits in Buxton.

Following the release of You To Me Are Everything and Can’t Get By Without You, the group sold three million singles in the 70s, making them the most successful black rock/soul act in England during that decade.

Many of their songs have been covered by acts such as Frankie Valli, Sonia and Public Enemy or remixed, becoming huge hits for a second time.

The band’s UK No.1 hit You to Me Are Everything also charted internationally reaching No. 64 onthe Billboard Hot 100.

The Real Thing line-up features original vocalists Chris and Eddie Amoo and Dave Smith, along with their own five-piece band.

Also playing at the Pavilion Arts Centre, on December 12, will be ‘the powerhouse’ female vocalist Patti Russo, best known for her role on Meatloaf’s classic rock anthem Paradise by the Dashboard Lights.

For nearly 20 years, Patti was an integral part of Meatloaf’s touring and recording career, appearing on all his albums since 1995.

She has also performed alongside Queen, Roger Daltrey and Cher.
