Radio Banska brings the world of music to Derbyshire

If you fancy a tasty fusion of jazz/ folk music peppered with Middle Eastern, Balkan and Latin influences then Radio Banska are sure to satisfy you.

They bring an eclectic, exciting and polished programme to Chinley Community Centre on Friday, October 16.

This lively five-piece band is comprised of talented violinist Nina Trott, Dave Spencer and Tony Barby on guitar, ably supported by Charango Sol Ahmed on double bass and Justin Fellows on drums.
The band have enchanted audiences at intimate local venues as well as entertaining bigger crowds at Bath International Folk Festival and the Malborough International Jazz Festival.

They will take you on a tour of musical influences from around the world, from Morocco, Jamaica and Buenos Aires to Paris, Budapest and the Balkans. An evening not to be missed!

The concert is brought to Chinley by Live & Local, an organisation which brings the arts to rural areas of the Midlands.

l If you are unable to see Radio Banska playing in Chinley, the group will perform at Crich, near Matlock, on Sunday, October 18.
