Northern Ballet tour 1984 to city theatres
Ballet dancers are touring a cult classic about a man who risks everything for love.
Northern Ballet presents the debut UK tour of Jonathan Watkins’ 1984 which visits Manchester’s Palace Theatre this week and Sheffield’s Lyceum next week.
This is the first full-length ballet production of George Orwell’s creation which centres on a world of absolute conformity with a Ministry of Truth and Big Brother watching workers’ every move.
Northern Ballet’s 1984 runs in Manchester until Saturday, October 17 then transfers to Sheffield where it runs from October 20 to 24.
