The group aged 9-16 joined forces with 11 other Razzamataz schools from up and down the country to perform in a special showcase production.

Claire Blower, principal of the Mansfield school, based at West Notts College, said: “We really couldn’t be prouder of our students, they stepped up to the challenge and delivered a fabulous performance. I’m sure it’s an experience they will never forget!”

The students performed a piece inspired by Matilda: The Musical, which they had been rehearsing in addition to their normal sessions, for the past six months.

Lynn Beaumont from the respected dramaclasses.biz website reviewed the show and described the Mansfield cast as being “not so much revolting as refreshing. The students’ enthusiasm, talent, energy and passion seemed to bleed from the stage out to us all sitting in the auditorium.”

Razzamataz offers classes in dance, drama and singing to children aged 2-17 with classes being held at West Notts College on Saturdays. Email [email protected] or call Claire on 07402 179892 for further details.
