Live music among attractions at Matlock Carnival
A marquee in Hall Leys Park will host five hours of live music, starting from 12noon on both Saturday and Sunday.
The line-up includes musicians and singer-songwriters Steve Wood, Jason Barker, Josh Vallance, Benjy CJ, Just Jim Taplin and many more.

This is is the third year that the carnival has run in Hall Leys Park, Matlock.
Attractions at this year’s event will include 60 stalls including arts, craft, vintage and food.
There’s plenty to keep young and old entertained, from archery, courtesy of Dales Bowmen, to climbing wall, funfair and superheroes including Batman, Spiderman and Iron Man.

Hide AdCarnival activities run from 10am to 5pm. Entrance to the park is free.
Matlock Carnival is organised by local businesses The Loft, Fresh and Maazi.
The family attraction promises to be the highlight of the ten-day Matlock Festival.
As a warm-up to a weekend of music and merriment, Facsimile will be playing at the Twenty Ten bar in Matlock on Friday, July 24, at 9pm.
The covers band, which play hits by Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Ed Sheeran, were booked back by festival organisers after a storming performance last year.
