Buxton Festival is rolling out a new literary extravaganza featuring renowned and entertaining speakers at the Pavilion Arts Centre.

The three-day Literary Weekend starts on Friday, October 31, with a captivating talk by journalist and broadcaster Kirsty Wark followed by an hilarious ten-step programme to cure you of bad reading habits from Andy Miller.

The day is rounded off with an entertaining show from radio and TV star Nicholas Parsons.

Leading 60s model Sandra Howard discusses high society in Kennedy’s America on Saturday morning followed by international bestselling author Jung Chang who will talk about her latest book on the fascinating Empress Dowager Cixi, Next up is Jonathan Aitken’s insider view of Margaret Thatcher’s story.

The outspoken and hilarious novelist Kathy Lette comes to Buxton with her latest novel Courting Trouble on Saturday afternoon.

Liza Goddard (right), Sara Crowe, Lysette Anthony and Serena Evans will enlighten audiences on how to survive or live by the Seven Deadly Sins in the wicked comedy Seven Deadly Sins Four Deadly Sinners on Saturday night.
