HATHERSAGE: Panto ticketsgo on sale

Once again it’s pantomime time in Hathersage. Oh yes it is!

Tickets go on sale this weekend for Hathersage Players’ production of Aladdin, a tale of love, magic and intrigue set in ancient China.

Can Aladdin overcome his humble origins as the son of a poor Widow Twankey, Peking’s premier laundress, and marry the lovely Princess Jasmine Scented-Rice? All he needs to do is persuade the Emperor that his new found riches are honestly earned. Once he has done that, escaped capture from the Palace executioners, defeated the evil Abanazar and rescued the kidnapped Princess, he should be home and dry!

Tickets (£6/£5 concessions) go on sale at Hathersage Methodist Church Hall on January 26, from 10am – 12noon, and afterwards from Bob and Judy Dawson, tel. (01433) 650533.
