Hallé string stars set to shine in church concert

Members of Manchester’s internationally-acclaimed Hallé Orchestra will be the guests of Glossop Concert Society on Sunday March 9, at Glossop Parish Church.

With an afternoon programme of music by Mozart, Brahms and Richard Strauss, the Amici String Sextet features some of the North West’s leading string players, including Hallé cellist Dale Culliford, from New Mills.

A concert society spokesman said: “We are thrilled to have such distinguished musicians performing here in Glossop, particularly with the local connection with Dale Culliford.

“Glossop and the surrounding area is home to many professional musicians and we have always aimed to cultivate the relationship between our audiences and the artists who live here.”

The concert starts at 3pm and tickets are priced £10 (£7.50 concessions, £3 for full-time students and children).
