Electrifyin’ high school musical is set to open

Grease, the original 1950s High School musical, is rockin’ and rollin’ its way towards opening night at the Art Theatre in New Mills.

The electrifyin’ show is being brought to the Jodrell Street theatre for the first time, by New Mills Amateur & District Operatic & Dramatic Society.

Performances will take place from Wednesday June 11 to Saturday June 14, each evening at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 3.30pm.

Angela Hulme, from New Mills Art Theatre, said: “The cast of Grease are bursting with energy and can’t wait to perform this on the Art Theatre stage.”

The production is packed with slick dancing and unforgettable songs such as ‘You’re the One That I Want’, ‘Greased Lightning’ and ‘We Go Together’, and also features an impressive set which has been built especially for the show.
