Dynamic duo at Glee Club

Larkin Poe bring their tour to Glee Club Nottingham on Tuesday, July 7, for an enticing evening of music.

They say madness runs in the family. They say the same about creativity and passion. That’s good news for Larkin Poe’s sister duo Rebecca and Megan Lovell, descendants of tortured artist and creative genius Edgar Allen Poe. They hail from Atlanta, Georgia.

As The Lovell Sisters, these talented young women took America by storm playing at the Grand Ole Opry. In their early 20s they transitioned to Larkin Poe releasing five EPs in a year and played with Elvis Costello (also in his band), Conor Oberst, Richard Thompson (Fairport) and The Indigo Girls.

In 2014, they released their sensational debut album Kin, which featured appearances by Norwegian superstar Thom Hell, and Sola Akingbola from Jamiroquai. Within a week of its release the official video of the single from this album ‘I Belong To Love’ racked up almost half a million hits on YouTube.

Last week they supported their friend Elvis Costello on tour at Theatre Royal Nottingham.

Catch them at their headline show at Glee Club Nottingham. Doors open at 7pm for those aged 16-plus.

Tickets cost £14 and are available now from glee.co.uk or through the box office on 0871 472 0400.
