duffield date for talented duo

The Music at Duffield season continues on Saturday, March 21, with an appearance by the talented soprano Alison Rose and pianist James Cheung.

The recital takes place in the main hall at The Ecclesbourne School in Duffield.

Doors open at 7pm and the performance gets under way at 7.30pm.

Alison Rose is a soprano who studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and then on the Masters programme at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with First Class Honours and the prestigious DipRAM.

She is currently studying on the opera course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Gary Coward and is supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.

Prizes include the Elena Gerhardt Lieder Prize (RAM) and 2nd Prize in the 2012 Oxford Lieder Young Artist Platform.

The duo will be performing a varied and interesting programme.

Pieces that can be heard are Rossini’s La Regeta Veneziana, a selection of Schumann lieder, Grieg’s Six Songs, Respighi’s Deita Silvane, and a selection of Mahler lieder.

Ticket prices are £13 for adults, £12 for concessions, £6 for students.
