Diane Keen, Robert Duncan and Andrew Lancel to appear in thriller at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre

The Small Hand has been adapted for the stage from the 2010 novel of Susan Hill, author of The Woman In Black.

This chilling drama will be presented at the Pomegranate Theatre from November 17-22 and promises to take audiences to a new level of terror

The Small Hand focuses on the story of a bookseller who accidentally comes across a derelict Edwardian house having taken a wrong turn.

As he nears the front door, he feels a chilling sensation of a small, cold hand reaching for his own. The experience haunts him and he suffers recurrig nightmares and panic attacks. In a bid to end his torment, he attempts to discover more aboout the house and its occupants, while the small hand continues to reach out for him....

The cast is headed by Andrew Lancel, who is best known for his role as evil businessman Frank Foster in Coronation Street. The role won him Villain of the Year at the British Soap Awards in 2012.

Starring alongside him is Diane Keen, one of British television’s most popular actresses, who starred in the late 70s sitcom Rings On Their Fingers. Until 2012, she was best known for her role in BBC daytime soap Doctors, playing practice nurse Julia Parsons.

They are joined by Robert Duncan, best known as jargon-spouting Gus in the newsroom sitcom Drop the Dead Donkey.
