Closing time for clocks exhibition

Time is running out to see an exhibition of clocks.

The exhibition is in the art gallery at Chesterfield Museum until Saturday, November 28.

There is a display of clocks and timepieces from the museum’s collection with links to Chesterfield, including a clock from Robinson’s, a Georgian longcase clock of Thomas Mawkes of Chesterfield and a clock cast at Staveley Works.

Visitors can explore how long they think a minute is and also make a simple
sextant.

Chesterfield Museum is open each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free.
