With some 3,000 titles to his credit, Bob’s career has moved from heady LA pop through songwriting chores in Nashville to his adopted home in Austin, Texas.

His songs have been covered by the likes of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings and Bob did in fact support Cash on his final tour.

Rumour has it that a Bob Cheevers song was on The King’s ‘to do’ list but alas Elvis did not live to fulfil that project.

Now Bob features prominently in the Americana charts and won Texas Music’s Singer/Songwriter of the Year award in 2011, no mean feat when you consider that this region is not exactly bereft of fine songwriters and performers.

He brings with him guitarist Stephen Doster, who has accompanied the likes of Lyle Lovett and the show opens with local favourite, Sue McFarlane.

Admission is £6 and doors open at 8pm at the Chesterfield Road-based venue for the gig.
