Blitz of 50s hits at Buxton Opera House

Fans of 50s music can step back in time for two concerts in Buxton.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the stage show Forever in Blue Jeans offers an exciting new production for 2015.

Promising a great Saturday night out on September 19, a talented cast of seven sing their way through a whirlwind of hits, from the 50s, right through to the best songs of today. Over 80 classic songs are covered from Brenda Lee to The Carpenters, from Motown to Carole King.

The following night, One Night of Elvis will be performed with ‘The King’ impersonator Lee Memphis King at the helm.

During the new show on Sunday, September 20, Elvis’ entire career will be celebrated, starting with his ground-breaking ‘68’ comeback special.

Lee Memphis King brings Elvis powerful voice and performance to the stage, accompanied by an orchestra and backing singers, while original footage of Presley shown on a backdrop will pay tribute to the star.

Forever in Blue Jeans and One Night of Elvis take place at Buxton Opera House.
