The Big Draw for budding artists

Visitors to Chesterfield Museum can take over the art gallery with The Big Draw.

Running until November 28, this is an opportunity to release the hidden artist inside each of us at the Chesterfield Borough Council run attraction.

There is a trail of weird and wonderful objects spread from the museum’s collection spread around the building for people of all ages to sketch.

A selection of sketches will be displayed in the art gallery on the first floor.

Councillor Amanda Serjeant, Chesterfield Borough Council’s executive member for leisure, culture and tourism, said: “The Big Draw is a great opportunity for families to take part in activities together.

“Anyone can take part in the event – no matter how young or old they are.

“Most children love drawing but we tend to draw less as we get older. The Big Draw is a great way for people to recapture that love of drawing and have a go.”
