Sheffield Theatres, English Touring Theatre and the Rose Theatre, Kingston are celebrating after their production of Translations was named Best Touring Production at the UK Theatre Awards.

Translations, directed by James Grieve, opened at the Crucible Theatre in February this year as part of Sheffield Theatres’ Brian Friel Season. It then went on to tour for six weeks across the country.

Daniel Evans, Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres said: “We are thrilled that Translations has been recognised with a UK Theatre award. We were incredibly proud of this production and this accolade is a testament to the work of the wonderful cast, creative team and production team who not only created a beautiful piece of work on our main stage, but also ensured that the beauty of the show was impeccable on tour throughout the UK.”
