Archive film treat at Quad

Derby arts centre QUAD will be hosting FreeFall Arts’ Past Lives Derby film, presented with live musical score from internationally renowned musicians, working with members of Sinfonia Viva plus local young musicians.

Past Lives Derby film, screening with live musical accompaniment takes place on Saturday, June 13, from 2pm to 3.30pm. Tickets are £8 or £5.50 concessions.

The screening will be followed by a Past Lives Reminiscence Vintage Café where audience members from the screening are invited to share their thoughts and memories of Derby and responses from the Past Lives film over tea, coffee and cake. There will also be an exhibition of archive Derby photos in the foyer. Past Lives Reminiscence Vintage Café takes place on June 13, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. The event is free but places are limited, so please book tickets.

Past Lives Project partners with archives across the Midlands to ensure that local movies, photos and oral history digitised through the project will stay publicly accessible and preserved for future generations, and to encourage people interested in heritage to connect to their local, regional and national archives.
