Andy Fairweather Lowe to play at Buxton’s Pavilion Arts Centre

Former Amen Corner vocalist Andy Fairweather Lowe is lined up for a concert in Buxton.

His gig at the Pavilion Arts Centre on Saturday, November 23, will see Andy performing with his band, the Lowriders, made up of the best players on the rock scene.

The Lowriders include Paul Beavis on drums (Thea Gilmore, Robbie Macintosh) and Christ Stainton (The Grease Band, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton) on keyboards.

Andy and the Lowriders played on Eric Clapton’s European tour in 2013 and released an album Zone-o-Tone later in the year. released an album, Zone-o-Tone last year.

When Amen Corner split in 1969, Andy formed Fairweather before achieving solo success with Reggae Tune in 1974.
