Organisers are expecting a record attendance at the festival which opens on June 17.
More than 4,500 riders will be saddling up to take part in the exhilarating and flamboyant Ride of a Lifetime on Sunday, June 19, which falls on Father’s Day - making it the ideal family weekend. The ride is famous for taking in the breath-taking views of the Peak District whilst stopping along the way to sample some of Derbyshire’s finest food and drink.
The award-winning three-day Great British Family Festival at Bakewell Showground takes everything from the heart of Great British traditions and dishes it out in spectacular style for families to enjoy with equal measures of quintessentially English curiosities. This year the line-up includes a Swing Night and the weekend plays out with The Last Night in Proms.
Eroica Britannia is famous for being one of the UK’s best value and accessible family festivals with advance online tickets. A three-day ticket is £20 and day tickets are £10 when bought in advance.
Food and drink lovers will be well catered at the ‘Festival in a Festival’ known as ‘Graze’,where street food vans and pop-up bars serve grub and kooky cocktails.
The British Bazaar with 150 traders will open its doors for shoppers to browse and purchase buys from vintage clothing to cycling gear.
