Organisers of a street festival are offering Derbyshire Times readers a fabulous prize to promote their annual event.
A full day’s paintballing for up to ten people is up for grabs, thanks to sponsors of the Chesterfield Street Entertainment Festival.
The festival hits the town centre on August 23 and 24.
International artistes will dazzle shoppers and visitors with circus stunts, magic tricks, escapology, illusion and hula-hoop dancing.
Comedy escapologist Tony Roberts’ performance in Chesterfield will be one of his last before he returns to Australia.
Circus duo Circle of Two will present their act Bambolino and Dodo and master of fun Jack of All Trades will showcase his multiple talents.
Making his second visit to Chesterfield will be Shandy South with his blend of dance, mime and comedy. Also back in town will be Andrew Prince, close-up magician from Magic Corner at London’s Covent Garden.
The 11 acts include home-grown talent such as Chesterfield illusionists Masquerade and Young Inspirations Theatre Company with songs from the shows. Human statues Statue Knight from Ilkeston are also appearing.
On August 26, there will be a chance to visit the International Paintball Group’s firing range at Burlington Street, Chesterfield.
We have teamed up with festival chiefs to offer a full day’s paintballing for up to 10 people at any IPG paintball centres listed on their website (www.ipg.vip.com).
Also included are 100 paintballs per person for the big game at the end of the day.
The prize has an online value of more than £300 and can be used in one visit or a combination of visits.
