“We believe strongly in supporting new writers as well as performing the classic plays we all know and love,” said Steve Cowley, whose company unveils its latest production this weekend.

For one night only, people will get the opportunity to see the northern premiere of new play To Sleep by Matt Fox and the better-known creation The Dumb Waiter by Harold Pinter.

The double bill will be staged at Hasland Playhouse on Saturday, November 23, at 7.30pm.

Performing the plays will be members of Trick Of Light, a company featuring Steve, Heather Davies, Nicky and Neil Beards and Rob Dean who met each other through membership of Hasland Theatre Company.

The Dumb Waiter is one that Rob and Steve have always wanted to perform together as they are both big fans of Pinter.

Heather is passionate about new writing and a meeting with Matt Fox a few years ago led to Trick of Light performing the writer’s work in the north for the first time.

Tickets for the double-bill presentation cost £6. To book your seat or find out more information, call 07599 928355.
