If murder mystery is your drama of choice you won’t want to miss Buxton Opera House’s offering next month – Murderous Liaisons.
Over on the Costa del Sol, professional safe-cracker Larry has struck it lucky. Gorgeous Suzy asks him to steal the diamonds from her husband Alex’s safe and run away with her to Rio. At the same time husband Alex also employs Larry to murder Suzy for her life insurance policy.
Larry decides to tell Suzy about her husband’s plans, and together they plot to steal the diamonds, murder Alex, and make off with the dividend from Alex’s similar insurance policy.
However, nothing is quite as it seems in this exciting and tense thriller as the three characters’ lives intermingle to plot against each other.
Murderous Liaisons stars Gemma Bissix, who played Clare Bates in EastEnders and Clare Devine in Hollyoaks, being awarded two British Soap Awards for the latter role. Her co-stars are John Henry Keating, whose TV credits include EastEnders, Casualty and The Bill and and Jamie Thompson who appeared in the film Toby’s Odyssey.
Murderous Liaisons runs at Buxton Opera House from Tuesday, June 2, to Saturday, June 6 at 8pm with matinees on the Thursday and Saturday at 2.30pm. Tickets £16 and £19.
