The man with ‘the voice’ that was the bookies favourite to win X Factor in 2007 will be showing off his powering vocal range when he performs at Buxton Opera House.
His undeniable talent and good looks have won Rhydian Roberts an army of fans and attracted many more with the launch of his self-titled debut album, which was crammed full of passionate and inspiring songs. It went on to sell 600,000 copies, with Rhydian’s unmistakable classical voice striking a chord with millions.
Beginning as a boy soprano at just age three, the Welsh star’s goal has always been to connect with the British public through the gift of his classically-trained voice.
Since then he has been featured in the Classical Brits at the Royal Albert Hall in London and toured the UK in Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds, Grease and We Will Rock You. His TV series Rhydian for S4C broke all previous records for a television show made in Wales.
Rhydian in Concert takes place at Buxton Opera House on Sunday April 7, at 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced £21 and £23, are available from the Box Office on 0845 127 2190 or www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
