Fairy tales can come true as high-flier Stacey Solomon finds out on her latest adventure.
She’s reaching for the stars in her role as Tinker Bell in Peter Pan - The Never Ending Story.
“It’s every girl’s dream to play Tinker Bell,” she said. “Peter Pan is one of my absolute favourite stories.
“I loved it when I was growing up. but I love it even more now. As an adult, it really hits home as you don’t want to grow up. You want to be a kid forever.”
Stacey visit Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena this weekend in the hi-tech fantasy adventure show which is her first foray into the world of theatre.
She will zoom across the stage in a harness, singing You Raise Me Up. “My children are over the moon that I will be flying but I have to admit that I am nervous about it,” said Stacey. “I will be flying to the top of the arena and I’ll have the best view in the house.
“To be able to sing ‘You Raise Me Up’ in front of thousands of people is a lovely opportunity. I can’t wait to sing the song. I absolutely adore singing - it’s been my passion since I was a little girl.”
It was her singing which introduced Stacey to the British public when she reached the top three in X Factor in 2009.
A year later she was crowned Queen of the Jungle on winning I’m A Celebrity. She said: “I never in a million years thought that I would win that show. But I loved the whole experience, I had a fabulous time in the jungle.”
