Life mirrors art for former EastEnder Gillian Taylforth amd her sister Kim who who play sisters in musical comedy Girls Night, which is coming to Derbyshire.
Kim Taylforth, who played the fairy in panto at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre earlier this year, said: “We’ve done TV together, but never as sisters, and we’ve never appeared on the same stage together. We are both so excited and can’t wait for it all to start.”
The fun-filled show, to be staged at Derby Assembly Rooms from May 1-5, follows lifelong friends as they enjoy a wild night out at a karaoke club, belting out anthems such as I Will Survive, It’s Raining Men and Dancing Queen.
Gillian said: “If you’re looking for a fantastic night out then come along and watch Girls Night. It’s a great, fun evening of singing, dancing and laughter with the girls that will have you joining in right
from the start.”
The Taylforth sisters team up with Casualty’s Rebecca Wheatley, who since appearing as receptionist Amy, has shed a whopping 12 stones and been crowned Slimmer of the Year.
Tickets for Girls Night cost £8-£24. For more information or to book, call the Derby LIVE Box Office on 01332 255800 or visit www.derbylive.co.uk
