A Kettleshulme artist is appealing for people who bought his paintings to return them, so he can feature them in a book he is writing for charity.
Alan Boothby, who specialises in pictures of Derbyshire trucks and lorries, is asking for anyone possessing an original to get in touch, so he can have them professionally photographed.
The writer intends to use them in a book in aid of the Christie Hospital, in Manchester, in memory of his wife, Susan, who died from pancreatic cancer last year.
He has painted around 60 truck pictures over the past 50 years, which are all signed A K Boothby, and has managed to trace 40 of them so far.
Alan added: “I am particularly interested in any of the Sam Longson fleet, especially the one that used to hang in the Shepherds Arms, in Whaley Bridge.”
