It’s curtains up for Buxton Opera House’s traditional pantomime, Peter Pan!

The family production, starring Louis Emerick (Mick Johnson from Brookside) as Captain Hook, Glen Davies (Mr Prank from Bear Behaving Badly) as Smee and West End performer Matt Kennedy as Peter Pan, opened at the Water Street venue yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Audiences can expect to be taken on a high-octane journey to meet Captain Hook, Wendy, Tinker Bell, Red Indians, mermaids, Peter’s tribe of Lost Boys, not to mention a life-size, ticking crocodile.

There is the usual popular songs, colourful dance numbers and comedy routines, as well as some magical ‘flying’ scenes – a first for the Opera House.

The pantomime runs until Tuesday January 1. Tickets, priced from £15.50 to £19.50, are available from the Box Office on 0845 127 2190 or online at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
