Don’t miss out on your chance to appear in the limelight at Derby Theatre later this year at a fundraising

On Sunday, November 6, Derby Theatre will play host to Limelight.

This is a grand charity gala, a prestigious evening of variety, performance and entertainment to raise funds for Plus One and the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre.

Plus One is a scheme which provides young people in care and care leavers with free arts experiences in the city and the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre in Skegness provides residential holidays for children from across the county who need respite from the stress and difficulties they encounter within their daily lives.

Limelight will celebrate and raise funds for these two great children’s charities, and organisers are now on the lookout for acts to perform on the evening.

Whether you’re an individual performer, or part of a company, a singer, dancer, comedian, magician, cabaret or circus performer, or something we may never have seen before and totally unique, Derby Theatre is looking for a variety of high-quality acts to be part of this red carpet event.

Organisers are inviting any kind of act to audition, from traditional to cutting edge, and people of all ages and cultures, to perform short acts of five minutes maximum.

Limelight auditions will be held at Derby Theatre on Saturday, September 17, from 10am until 5pm, and you are invited to take part.

If you feel you have what it takes to perform and entertain our audience at this prestigious event, then the organisers would love to hear from you.

To book an audition slot (maximum of five minutes each), simply call the Derby Theatre box office on 01332 593939.

Please let Derby Theatre know what your act is and if you have any special requirements for attending the audition.

They would also like to know if you are an individual performer or part of a company.

If you are under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult.

If you are selected, you will perform on the main stage at Derby Theatre in November and will be supporting two fantastic charities in Derbyshire.

Organisers look forward to seeing the wealth of talent that they know the people of Derbyshire and the region have to offer.
