Original 2-Tone ska band The Selecter will be touring to celebrate the fifth anniversary of their reunion and the release of their new album.

The group, led by Pauline Black, will be playing at The Flowerpot, Derby, on March 5, as part of a 22-date tour of the country which kicks off next week.

Their latest album, Subculture, reflects The Selecter’s diverse musical influences, from Caribbean to reggae to electronica.

The Selecter’s following is worldwide and they remain figureheads for a wide stratum of subcultures e.g. skinheads, mods, punks, Northern-Soulers, and many other groups who similarly define themselves at variance with the status quo.
