Status Quo are taking centre stage at the Clumber Park music festival this August.
With over 118 million record sales and 64 British singles, more than any other band, this is sure to be a performance to remember.
Francis Rossi said he is looking forward to the gig just as much as the big festivals.
“I look forward to each show as much as the last,” he said.
The rockstar, 65, said he still feels a sense of achievement each time he comes off stage, despite been in the business since he was just 12.
“I can never believe that I’ve managed to do it again. I feel elated every time.”
Fans can expect to hear some classic songs as well as songs from more recent albums at the gig on Friday August 15.
Confirmed support acts are Toseland and Strawbs.
Gates open at 5:30pm and music will be played from 6:30pm until 10pm.
On Saturday August 16 the flashback festival will come to the park, taking people back to the 80’s and 90’s.
Featuring headliner Billy Ocean, as well as performances from Kim Wilde, ABC, Go West, Midge Ure, Katrina, the Doctor and Jimmy Sommerville, this also promises to be an unforgettable night of music.
Flashback is a picnic event and people are invited to bring their own food or just dance the night away.
Gates open at 4pm and music will be played from 5pm until 11pm.
Sunday August 17 will see a more relaxing night of music, with performances from Aled Jones, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra with conductor Timothy Redmond, Only Men Aloud and Laura Wright.
