Derbyshire veteran punks Resistance 77 embark on a trio of events linked to St George’s Day and raising funds for our service men and women.
The band, which has a new line up with the introduction of Sam on drums, hits The Hawthorns, South Normanton, on Saturday – St George’s Day.
The gig will finish the band’s raising campaign for soldiers’ charity ABF and they’re hoping to top the £320 they raised at their Hawthorn’s gig last year, along with a contribution from sales of their Far Away CD.
On Sunday, Resistance play Rock City, in Nottingham, as part of a 10-band line up Concert for Heroes in conjunction with the Julie Cotton foundation.
Finally R77 will have a track on a forthcoming CD organised by Gary Bushell to raise money for a hospice in Glasgow for Second World War veterans.
