Young bands will premiere new songs as part of a tour showcasing up-and-coming acts this month.
The GiGit Tour will feature local and new groups from across the county, taking their music to venues across Derbyshire.
Over 40 bands will take part in the tour, which is the ninth such event organised by Fleet Arts’ Turn It Up project.
Pictures of all of the bands will be available to download from links on the TIU myspace page. Many of the bands have also been attending workshops leading up to the tour to develop performance skills and to write new original material which will be performed in public for the first time.
Julian Butt, the Turn it Up co-ordinator, said “We are very pleased to be running another tour this year and excited about using new venues that will be convenient and affordable for young people.
“Many new bands will be performing for the first time and all of them are enthusiastic and working hard to put on some memorable shows.”
The gigs are open to all ages and tickets are on sale on the door.
