Bidders at a Chesterfield fundraising festival could land some top prizes at the gig next month.
The inaugural Spirefest one-day rock festival and guitar show takes place at the Winding Wheel on April 9, raising cash for Cancer Research UK.
As well as live music throughout the day and a headline slot by acclaimed guitarist Chantel McGregor, the event sees some great raffle and auction prizes up for grabs.
These include five guitars, a hotel weekend break for two, meal for two at Poppy’s of Chesterfield, a month’s health club membership, an amplifier, a snare drum, a guitarist’s starter pack, four different magazine subscriptions and all sorts of signed memorabilia from some of the classic rock bands such as Queen, Greg Lake (of ELP), Uriah Heep, Asia, Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash, Focus and Chantel McGregor.
Co-organiser Brian Bannister said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed by people’s generosity and encouragement for what we are trying to do.”
The cost for entry is only £15 and the fact that all proceeds go to Cancer Research UK should make it even more tempting.
