They’re turning back the clock at The Hearty Oak, Dronfield Woodhouse, to relive the heady clubland heights at famed venues like Isabella’s, Kiki’s and Josephine’s.
The move comes on the back of the success of the Oak’s Climax revival night, which has been bringing back the sounds of the old clubs Climax (Dronfield) and Fannys (Owler Bar) on every last Friday of the month.
The Hearty Oak manager Maurice Champeau said: “I am astounded by the popularity of these events which seem to have tapped a niche for 30’s and over fun-loving party goers who enjoyed the heady days of the 80’s and 90’s.
“People have travelled from as far as Manchester and Barnsley as well as more locally from Chesterfield, Sheffield and Dronfield to enjoy this unique evening.”
And such has been the demand from customers to bring back the sounds from Sheffield’s clasic clubs like Isabella’s, Kiki’s and Josephine’s, the Hearty Oak will launch Gimme The Night on May 11.
Taking place every second Friday thereafter, the nights will run from 9pm until 1am, bringing back the classic dancefloor sounds of yesteryear.
