Chesterfield’s iconic Crooked Spire church will again echo to the harmonies of brass and voices.
A Christmas concert on Monday, December 14, will feature the singers of Chesterfield Gilbert and Sullivan Society and a welcome reappearance by their special guests, Harlequin Brass.
Andrew Marples, who will direct the music, said: “The programme will feature two carols which are local to the Peak District as well as traditional and contemporary Christmas music and we shall be inviting audience participation in a new Christmas medley which we’ve discovered. We’ll also be looking forward to the band and choir singing together in “Joy to the World” which will resound throughout the church.”
Chris Flint will accompany on piano during the concert which begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £9 and are available from Mrs J Tew (01246 418887), Chesterfield Tourist Information Centre (01246 345777) and on the door.
