Music-lovers are in for a treat as award-winning women’s chorus DaleDiva prepares to host its fourth major stage show.
Tickets are now on sale for matinee and evening performances of Showtime! at Derby Theatre on Sunday, November 3.
The show is being organised to celebrate six years of success for the Cromford-based four-part harmony group and will also feature female quartets Farenheit and Starlight, as well current bronze medal male vocal quartet HomeSpun.
In addition, Young Voices Unite junior and senior choirs – set up and directed by DaleDiva singer Leisha Martin – will make their debut major public performances in the matinee.
DaleDiva won Channel Five’s Don’t Stop Believing search for Britain’s best show choir in 2010 and has gone on to other successes, including a silver medal performing in competition at The Sage in Gateshead earlier this year.
Musical director Ally Law, from Cromford, said: “This show is an ambitious production with something for all the family. We’ll do a selection of songs from our latest album and all our new material – as well as some of the old favourites of course. We’re really looking forward to sharing the stage with our special guests and it’s the perfect way to celebrate and share our unique style of singing!”
DaleDiva launched in November 2007 and the chorus currently has 74 members aged 23 to 71 from across Derbyshire and beyond including Cromford, Matlock, Belper, Wirksworth and Duffield.
Tickets for the matinee performance at 2.30pm are £12.50 (£10 concessions) or £40 for a family ticket (two adults and two concessions). Seats for the evening performance at 7.30pm are £15 (£12.50 concessions) or £50 for a family ticket, available from Rachael Flaxmer at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0794 087 7825.
