Chesterfield RnB/hip-hop outfit Aquablakk are flying high as they prepare for a hometown show this weekend.
They’re due to play the new Battery venue in Chesterfield on Saturday, Oct 15, and have also landed an unlikely partnership with an American sports station in Philadelphia.
The station, phillysportslive, hosted Aquablakk videos on its website after the band asked them to help spread the word about their music.
Band manager Cliff Richard said: “They asked could we write a song for the Philadelphia Eagles (American football team) as it’s coming up to the play-offs and it would get the fans in unison.”
“We had a song written so we changed it and designed the logo in readiness.”
The band’s single xfactor is also drawing a lot of attention on-line. For more, check out www.facebook.com/AquablakkOfficial
