X Factor star Rhydian Roberts will be among the cast of hit West End musical Grease when it rolls into the region.
Welsh wonder Rhydian, who was was pipped to the X Factor crown by Leon Jackson in 2007, will play the Teen Angel in the production at Sheffield Lyceum Theatre from May 14-19.
The show stars Danny Bayne, winner of ITV’s Grease is the Word, as cool Danny alongside Carina Gillespie as preppy sweetheart Sandy.
Voted the No 1 greatest musical, Grease is the original high-school musical love story, bursting with slick hairstyles, rock ‘n’ roll and an irresistible mix of teenage angst and young romance.
An electrifyin’ extravaganza packed with fun, energy and vibrant dance numbers choreographed by Arlene Phillips (BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing), it features all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You’re The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Sandy, Greased Lightnin’ and many more.
The Sheffield run is part of Grease’s first UK tour for five years.
