Forty artists will be performing in the fourth annual Bakewell Music Festival this weekend.

Headlined by Gypsyfire, Lancashire Hotpots, King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys (pictured) and the UK’s top banjo player, Leon Hunt, the festival takes place at Bakewell Showground.

The festival, running from August 16 to 18, will include performances by leading acoustic artists from all over the country, open mic sessions and workshops.

There will be clowns and face-painting for the kids, a shopping village and locally sourced ales for mums and dads as well as weekend camping for all the family on the showground.

Festival founders are Stuart Carter-Smith, who runs the International Guitar Festival, and Jonathan Rowlands, who previously managed Rod Stewart and promoted the likes of Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdinck and Nina Simone.
