Irish/Australian comedian, Jimeoin is renowned for his exceptional audience rapport and witty observations on the absurdities of everyday life.
He’ll be demonstrating both of these attributes when he performs at Sheffield Memorial Hall, on Sunday, May 20.
Originally born in Leamington Spa, Jimeoin grew up in Northern Ireland before emigrating to Australia at the age of 22, where he now lives and where he started his comedy career.
He first came to public attention between 2005 and 2008 while performing an “over the top” comedy tour of Australia’s outback and major cities, which was filmed for a BBC Northern Ireland documentary Jimeoin Down Under.
He has since become a regular on the International comedy circuit, regularly performing at comedy festivals, such as the Edinburgh Fringe, Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival and more recently the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2012.
Jimeoin’s tour Lovely will ake him up and down the UK before he settles into a 21 night residency at the Edinburgh Festival in August.
Tickets for his Sheffield show cost £14.50. To book call 01142 789 789 or www.sheffieldcityhall.co.uk
