Philosopher on trial in thought-provoking drama

The Trials of Galileo stars Tim Hardy as the astronomer, physicist and philosopher who was charged with heresy in 1633.

Galileo mistakenly believed that if the church was supplied with proof of his discoveries then he would escape persecution.

The play will be staged at Buxton’s Pavilion Arts Centre on Monday, September 21, at 7.30pm. Its writer is Emmy award-winner Nic Young.
