Pub workers are raising the spirits of customers and funds for good causes.

Proceeds from the sales of malt whisky at The Miners Arms on Carr Lane, Dronfield Woodhouse, are going to charity.

This year the pub’s charity circle is backing Dronfield 1st Responders which are volunteers who attend emergency calls received by the ambulance service and provide care until the ambulance arrives; Edale Mountain Rescue service; When You Wish Upon A Star charity which makes dreams come true for terminally ill children.

The pub offers more than 30 brands of malt whisky to choose from, including Talisker, Monkey Shoulder, Strathisla, Glenkinchie, Naked Grouse, Tormore, Dalwhinnie, Woodford Reserve, Auchentoshan, Tay Dam and Superstition with more being added each week.

All the whiskys are £2.50 per 25ml.

So far this year the charity has raised over £750 from the sale of malt whisky and quiz and raffle nights.

The Miners Arms Charity Circle quiz and raffle nights take place every Sunday at the Miners Arms, Dronfield Woodhouse, Carr Lane from 9.40pm onwards.
