SCOTTISH gag master Stephen Carlin is plotting a cross-border raid to try out his quips on Derbyshire mirth-seekers, ahead of a slot at the world-renowned Edinburgh Festival.
Stephen has been described as a deadpan Scot with the brooding looks of a young Sean Connery and a nice line in snooker based humour.
His fans include Stewart Lee who named him as one of Ten Best Comedians in the World Ever.
Stephen will be heading for Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel on Thursday, July 28, to entertain supporters of the monthly Spotlight Comedy show.
In a double header, new star Damion Larkin will be living the dream as the one-time stockbroker realises his ambition of making people laugh.
Tickets cost £12, £10 and £5 (students); to book, call (01246) 345333.
