Why should dressing-up fun be restricted to the kids this Halloween?

Mirth-makers are encouraging adults to don witch, ghost, skeleton, black cat costumes, or any other outfit associated with trick or treat night.

The fancy dress fun fest is being spearheaded by the organiser of monthly comedy nights at Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel, the next one coinciding with Halloween on October 31.

Spotlight Comedy Club founder and MC, Anthony J. Brown, said: “There’ll be prizes for the best outfits. Plus I’ll be foregoing my usual besuited clobber and appearing in Halloween apparel.”

Raising the spirits will be a slew of comedians, led by Ian Cognito, a risk-taker who specialises in outspoken and opinionated views.

He will be supported by Dan Bland, whose funereal facade belies a devilish comic mind and Nick Parry, acclaimed for his caustic one-liners.

The evening will be seamlessly linked by host Anthony, a master of the art of comedy.

The Halloween Dark Comedy special starts at 8pm.

Admission is £11, £9 and £6 (student price). To book, contact 01246 246 345222 or www.chesterfieldtheatres.co.uk
