With Chelsea Flower Show upon us, it’s that time of year when the country is eating, sleeping and breathing all things gardening.
What better way to get involved than to join a week of celebrations at Dobbies Garden World Chesterfield to mark the 100th anniversary of the flagship flower show?
The week of festivities, which launches today (Tuesday, May 21), includes daily gardening workshops, flower arranging demonstrations, foodie tastings, strawberry planting and kids entertainment ranging from flower sponge art to a gnome treasure hunt. Customers will also have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the week.
Justine Parsons, Community Champion at Dobbies, said: “With everyone preparing to celebrate 100 years of Chelsea Flower Show, we thought we would bring the celebrations to our garden centre and treat our customers to a week of fun-filled activities for all the family to enjoy.
“Having won numerous awards at Chelsea Flower Show we are well placed to offer expert advice and tips on how to grow award-winning plants and flowers. Customers will also be able to take advantage of our award-winning deals to help them get their very own Chelsea-look.
“With workshops, free food samples and fabulous prizes on offer, we are sure you and the family will reach festival fever pitch.”
On the evening of Thursday, May 23, between 5pm and 8pm, customers will also be able to enjoy a sparkling refreshment and will be treated to strawberries dipped in chocolate on arrival, to help get them in the celebrating mood!
Throughout the week, Dobbies Garden World Chesterfield will be raising vital funds for its local charity partner, Guide Dogs for The Blind.
